LG may have withdrew from smartphone rat races, but far from prostration from consumer electronics, especially those who have a screen. From TV to laptop, LG has pushed its display technology envelope, including several with non-traditional forms and design. Even before it revealed the broken LG, the company has exhibited a removable display for industrial signs and applications. Now back with other display innovations, this time to be used in retail stores, in the office, and even at home.

It’s easy to think of how stores can benefit from such screens, especially those with window views. Why is satisfied with a simple glass window when the “show window” consists of four 55-inch panels can show off products and add some runny details about it. This can help attract the attention of people nearby and turn it into potential buyers.

“Shopping management showcase,” On the other hand, is a smaller version designed to be placed in tablet shows. LG imagines this transparent OLED for use in luxurious department stores, where “visually attracts” adapts to the product displayed. Definitely beat must change the physical decoration every time there is a change in the product on the shelf.

However, LG also aims for non-commercial applications from this screen. “Smart window,” for example, will try to make a TV or a large monitor in the office in the past, turning any window to the screen for video conferencing or presentation. “OLED rack,” On the other hand, is to add some high-tech decorations to your living room.

LG credits the nature of emitting OLED technology as one of the enables for this transparent display. That said, all of this is still a concept that will be shown at CES 2022 next month, so who knows when they will truly hit the consumer and commercial market.
