Bluetti NA300 sodium-ion solar generator promises a battery revolution
The battery has become an important part of everyday life, especially because we become more dependent on electrical devices that run it, from smartphones to laptops and even electric vehicles. Apart from their important role, the battery has not changed with a leap and limit in recent years. Bluetti, one if it’s not the most productive solar generator maker. Portable batteries, now try to push the battery technology envelope by presenting one such product that exchanges typical lithium-ion for sodium ions.
The lithium-ion battery is the most common type of mass use today, ranging from small in your smartphone to the larger electric car. Bluetti itself depends on this technology for its products, especially the type of LifePO4 used by EVS. Unfortunately, everywhere the Li-ion battery began to work against it due to lack of supply. More general source material for batteries is needed, and Bluetti now proposes the answer.
Portable battery makers explain that sodium has two certain properties that make it a suitable substitute. It shares the chemical properties similar to lithium, so it can be used to make sodium-ion batteries. But the same as important, it is the fact that sodium releases lithium in a thousand earth crust fold.
Of course, there are other benefits that make sodium-ion better than lithium-ion batteries, Bluetti said. Faster costs, for one, and have better overall cost efficiency. More importantly, this can operate and charge at lower temperatures, down to 20 ° C (-4 ° F). Unfortunately, there is one main disadvantage, with sodium-ion that offers lower energy density than lithium-ion batteries with the same size.
That is why the new Sodium-ion sodium-ion solar generator only offers 3,000wh compared to similar, ep500 5,100wh. However, if it’s not enough, Bluetti will also sell the new B480 sodium-ion battery pack, each offering an additional power of 4,800Wh. Supports up to two B480s, NA300 can provide a total capacity of 12,600Wh which is defeat or even more if you throw a fusion box. Of course, the solar generator comes with all the facilities offered by lithium-ion sauce, including 6,000 W quick charging through the source of AC and Solar simultaneously.
As the first sodium-ion solar generator in the world, Bluetti NA300 can offer less power in the same size, but everything else is enhanced or at least the same. All that remains to be known is whether it will also be given the same price, and we have to wait for CES 2022 to find out it.
